Sunday at CHA

Well I made it through what was a tough day for me. I'm just glad it is over. I was so excited to see a new machine at the Provo Craft booth, saw Jinger  I'm sitting in the subway right now using unsecured wifi which always makes me nervous but hey I get to post at least. People....LA is scary! There is alot of people walking around downtown and I'm not sure about the whole safety thing. Lots of pretty papers were seen today and I also stopped by several booths and took some pics of the displays and new products. The new machine provo craft has has the cutest green bug on the side and green accents. The cool thing is no more overlays! And it takes both the imagine and regular carts but is basically a souped up Expression. It has a screen on front (touch) it will be revealing on HSN in April. I can't wait to get it. Its going to be basically a limited edition. Trust me Cricut people you will want it!

This tote is great, very sturdy and opens up to hold embellishments, paper, tools etc. Made well. The compartments come off and are held on with velcro. This was absolutely my favorite thing I seen at the show. I am going to have to get one for traveling it will be great!

Lots of beautiful papers and paper packs. Here is a new line called "Smash" its very cute and great for the on the go person would wants to scrap but needs help. The "extra's" help you to fill up your journal with quick little journaling and embellishments to correspond to your book. I spoke with the designer of one of the books and she was so sweet and helpful.

I'm In the Air!!!

I am actually on the Virgin America flight with Kristal flying to california as I write this! Its so great that you can even get internet in the air!!! I'm such an internet junkie so you know I had to purchase a session so that I could check my blog and leave a post too! We went to a great scrapbook store in Orlando called Piktails. I got some goodies as well as Kristal. Trying to figure out what I will use for blog candy for our upcoming blog hop! Well they are saying we are taking our initial decent and I need to log off so check back with us later!!

CHA countdown...3 days!!!

California here we come in 1 day!!! Kristal is here at my house and we are gearing up for our CHA trip. We are doing a quick little video of my craft room that will be on her blog and we will be videoing all the cool things we see at CHA and sharing with you all that we can! So please be watching for updates!!! I'm sure we are going to see some awesome stuff there! I can't wait to share. We will be demoing at the Cri-kits booth. Look for for CHA live Sunday I think 3:30 but I will double check. RIGHT AFTER PROVO CRAFT!!! WOOT WOOT  Well gotta run!

Updated pics of craftroom

I took a couple more pictures of my craft room since a few of mine were alittle dark. Here they are....oh and you can see my craft buddy is back up on the desk! He is there always! My view out the window is pretty nice because it looks out to our pool. Which I think is why my little guy max loves to site there and look out. Max is a lhasa Apso but don't tell him because he thinks he is a human. He acts like a little ole man!

Inside my closet

My growing collection of cartridges I think I have to have that I don't use much to be honest. Scal2 is what I end up using the most.

I have a glass L shaped desk and this is a cabinet that holds my printer and tv. Inside I have totes that have alot of misc. in!

I got both of these embellishment centers at Michaels for half off so I couldn't pass up getting two. I'm still filling the one up but it will happen so better to have more space than not enough! My walls are pink because I LOVE PINK!!! My curtains and pink and black which you can see on my other posting of my scraproom. I love them because they are Paisley which is another one of the things I'm obsessed with, oh and owls, flamingo's too! (cause they are pink!)

Color Challenge

Here is a little layout I did that I am giving to a friend. I entered into a color challenge for morethanfavors.blogspot.com
You were to have brown, pink and green and I have all that! Pics don't do it justice but I took one of the picture placemat because the papers are really pretty. And I love owls and this is just the cutest owls. Purchased the cut file for the owls at myscrapchick.com. I used stickles on one of the owls bellys and then just inked the other. I used glossy accents on the eyes!

New Cartridges coming out!!

I'm excited about two of the new cartridges coming out and they are the "Campin Critters" original cartridges and then an Imagine Cartridge Called Buccaneers. Here are the images for them below.
I know someone who will really like this because she loves to camp with her family!

UPDATE: I wanted to tell everyone that the birds are a cut file I purchased from Treasureboxdesigns.com I forgot to mention this and I have had wonderful comments about it. I just typed out the word bubble myself.

I love these birds and they were suppose to be all in a row on the branch but I thought it would be cute to have one hanging down on the branch being "different". Because it is good to be different!! I am entering this in Created for Getting Cricky Challenge kandrewdesigns for the birds challenge. She has an awesome giveaway, cricut cartridge!
I inked all the bird pieces with contrasting color of the papers I used. I also added glossy accents to the eyes. Let me know what you think!

Quick Card

Here is a quick little card I whipped up for EAD Color Challenge. I used Create a Critter to make the turtles. I used stickles to glitter their shells and I just made the sentiment myself in a word program. I put googly eyes on them. The ribbon is just some ribbon I got at Michaels.

My 1st Challenge for Cooking with Cricut

Still sick after 11 days but managed to get my first project done for CWC! I can't wait till I feel better so I can do alittle more with my projects. I miss feeling like crafting!

My picture is not the greatest because I still have a bit of camera issues and to fit the whole thing in I had to be zoomed out a bit so you can't see alot of the details. On the snow topped picture area I actually made icycles! I used my glue gun and made some long icycles. I used puff paint to put the paint on the picture area as well as on a few of the letters. The kitties have stickles used on the hat and ear muffs and scarf. I also used glossy accents for the eyes. I will try and post a close up of a few areas. Funny Story....Well sorta!

Today is day 9 of being sick as a dog so I decided to break down and go to the doctor figuring I wouldn't get better without antibiotics. I called my doctor (its usually hard to get in) and guess what......HE IS OUT SICK!!! I guess we don't think about our doctors getting sick too much but they are human!

Went to an Urgent care (took about hour an half to be seen) and was given antiobiotics. My throat is very sore and hard for me to take large pills and the antibiotics are usually so large so I asked for liquid. I feel like such a kiddy cause it is bubblegum flavor!!!

Still under the weather....

I hope that I will have some projects to show you all at some point and my vinyl video but I still am so sick I haven't been out of bed much. This is by far the worse cold I have ever gotten in my life. I'm going on day 6 of this and sometimes i get to feeling alittle better and think "hey I'm going to be well soon" and then it hits me like a ton of bricks.

I know lots of you out there have gotten the same thing. They were talking on the news the other day about this outbreak of cold/flu and how bad it is right now. I'm tired of being in bed but when I get up I can't do it for very long before I come to the reality that I am really sick!

So hopefully you will all visit me when I am well to see the projects I will have. CHA is coming real quickly and I am attending so I'm very excited about that. I will take my flip camera, regular camera and get lots of good information for you all as well. I will walk every booth to check out all the new stuff!!! I better make sure I have my best walking shoes with me! So drop me a comment if there is a particular product you want me to make sure I check out all their new items and I will!!

Look out people cause I will have loads of vinyl and I won't be afraid to use it!! I just order 54 sheets of various colors of vinyl!! OMG!!! Do I ever get enough! I plan on doing a video on how to do the layered vinyl since I am back from traveling finally! So look for that soon!
