Good Morning Everyone!
I was so pleased to be asked again to Guest Design for Emma. She is absolutely the sweetest thing! I love all of her products and so its great to represent something you love. I was asked to do the "Tip of the Day" I wanted to show a way to utilize one of her dies a different way. I have to say I just got in an order from her and several of the dies I had ordered. It was the first time I had tried them so I was eager to see how they worked. These dies are terrific!
I used her "Oval Stitch Die", I wanted to make a cute little flower with it. Had it all in my head so was happy it actually turned out just like I wanted! I will list how I did it below the picture. I used a sentiment from "You had me at Chocolate" and made a Shadow Box card which I loved the way it turned out. I inked the edges a bit with Distressed ink, Crimped up the ends and curled it a bit to add the dimension. Papers and all listed below! Please pop over and visit Emma's Blog for all kinds of inspiration!
Papers: My Minds Eye 6x6 paper stack "Lime Twist"
Sentiment: My Creative time for me "You had me at Chocolate"
Die: My Creative time for me "Oval Stitch Die"
Aqua Ribbon, Sheer Ribbon, Tim Holtz Distress "Vintage Photo" Ink
Card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/4"
I cut 8 of the ovals with the various colors I wanted for petals, then cut two with Kraft paper for the leaves. I inked the leave with Powder Puff ink in "green with envy" and then used a sharpie to draw some veins on them. Those were cut in half to make four leaves.
Anyone wanting directions for the shadowbox card please email me.
